I suck at networking. Well, maybe I wouldn’t suck if I actually went to an event or two.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been to a networking event. For all sorts of reasons. And I’ve gotten out of practice. So maybe I’m not a Weenie. Maybe I just need to get back out there.

Tomorrow begins my new journey into networking events!

The co-working space where I have my office has a Morning Mimosas networking event once a month. I’ve never been, even though I’ve had my office here for 3 years. I always thought it was too early to get up (and health issues made this more difficult), I didn’t want to go because of dental issues taking a long time to get resolved, and because my business marketing was in flux. I can’t tell you how many times in the past 6 months I’ve updated my services. That’s a blogpost for another day.

Anyway, I’m finally stepping up. Stepping up into my updated marketing and services. And it’s time to get networking and meeting people. I’ve offered to sponsor the September Morning Mimosas meeting so I thought I better see what it’s all about before I jump in with both feet!

All this has gotten me thinking. We often have opportunities right under our noses that we pass by or ignore. If we want to succeed in our businesses, and offer our good stuff to those that need it, we need to get moving.

What opportunities are presenting themselves to you every day?

What haven’t you engaged in that could positively impact your business and the world?

In my case, I help entrepreneurs marketing online. I gott talk to people to help people. So here I am, talking to you now! 🙂

Leave me a note in the comments about your reason for not networking, how you’re building your business, and what your next step is. I’d love to support you in this!
